Mr. Ezekiel Chibeze
Mr Chibeze is the youth representative on the Kasa Initiaitive Ghana Steering Committee.
Chibeze S. Ezekiel is a young Environmental Activist with over 7 years working experience in the Natural Resources and Environmental (NRE) sector. He holds a Degree in Psychology and Sociology. He is a certified Youth Master Trainer on Climate Change by the World Bank Institute and British Council and has acquired professional training in various important areas such as Policy Engagement & Advocacy; National Budget Tracking & Analysis; and Gender.
His advocacy work is hinged on promoting youth inclusion in the governance of the NRE Sector in line with the principles of social inclusion and gender equality. He is the Co- Coordinator of 350 Ghana Reducing our Carbon (G-ROC), the local chapter of 350.org, USA.
Chibeze is also the Executive Coordinator of the Strategic Youth Network for Development (SYND), a youth-oriented NGO which focuses primarily on contributing to good governance in the natural resources and environmental sector through active youth inclusion.
Chibeze also facilitates the CSOs SDG 13 (Climate Action) platform, a civil society platform on climate change in Ghana with over 100 membership-based organizations and individuals acting collectively to influence national processes in promoting pro-poor, equitable and effective climate change adaptation and mitigation policies.
Again, he was selected as a National SDGs Champion in February 2019 by CARE Denmark to support the implementation of the SDGs at subnational, national and international levels.
Accustomed to fast-paced projects where handling multiple tasks is the norm, he has demonstrated ability in presentations and organizing advocacies, sensitizations and educational campaigns especially at the grassroots level and good project management through gender lens. As a youth leader, his core ambition is to attain the institutionalization of youth inclusion in decision making processes at subnational (grassroots) and national levels.
