Kasa Initiative Ghana is a national platform that brings together civil society organizations, community groups, development partners, traditional authorities, government institutions, and other stakeholders to promote responsible natural resource and environmental governance in Ghana. Established to strengthen citizen participation and influence policy processes, 

Kasa serves as a coordinating body for advocacy, knowledge sharing, capacity building, and collaborative action on environmental sustainability, climate change, land governance, water governance, mining, forestry, fisheries, and other critical natural resource issues.

KASA Initiative Ghana is a Natural Resource and Environment (NRE) Civil Society Platform that supports advocacy in seven (7) NRE thematic sectors with a Secretariat coordinating the activities.

2. Climate Change and Environment Coalition
3. CSOs coalition on Land (CICOL)
4. CSOs platform on Oil and Gas
5. Coalition of NGOs in Water and Sanitation (CONIWAS)
6. CSOs Fisheries Alliance
7. CSOs Alliance on Mining
Kasa creates platforms that facilitate the interactions among CSOs, state institutions and development partners on NRE issues. Kasa also takes initiatives to empower local level community groups to take actions to protect the environment.”

KASA Initiative Ghana was established in 2008 by CARE, SNV and ICCO to create a unified platform for civil society engagement in natural resource and environmental governance. Over the years, KASA has grown into a nationally recognized platform supporting advocacy, policy dialogue, community empowerment, and knowledge sharing across Ghana.
