Kasa Initiative works in natural resources and environmental governance, with a mission to address and reduce the impacts of climate change on daily life. For those of us in the Global South, climate change is not an abstract concept but a pressing reality. Although we contribute minimally to global emissions, our economy and infrastructure are highly vulnerable. Farmers face reduced rainfall, forests are depleted for mineral extraction, and coastal communities grapple with rising sea levels.

As 2024 is an election year, we seized opportunities for civic engagement, collaborating with both international and local organizations to ensure environmental issues are prominent. Through our environmental manifesto, we’ve engaged political parties and raised awareness on the urgent need for adaptation and climate mitigation strategies.
