Mangrove Conservation Through Education, Reforestation And Policy Advocacy (MACERPA)

Kasa Initiative Ghana, in collaboration with Wildlife Division-Anloga, launched the Mangrove Conservation through Education, Reforestation and Policy Advocacy (MACERPA) project for 10 beneficiary communities in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region. The project is aimed at contributing to enhancing the conservation of mangroves in the Anyanui Creek Corridor.  The specific objectives of the project are:

  1. Awareness and education in the communities
  2. Restoration of mangrove degraded areas
  3. Contribution to national coastal management policy process
